Survive as a Knight in this 2D pixel art roguelike dungeon crawler! Slay undead creatures, level your skills, avoid (or utilize) hazards and defeat the nefarious necromancer as you navigate the dark hallways and rooms of the Dungeon.

This a short project created while learning Godot, currently there are 4 types of rooms, and 1 boss fight. Comments and feedback are welcome!

and would be happy to know how you implemented the blood splatter and the knockback in your game so i can use it in the game i made using the same sprite set 

overall really fun and challanging loved the feature that it trackes how you died as well as just the death itself 

Hey there, thanks for playing! The blood splatter is a particle emitter emitting towards a direction relative to the player hit direction. Knockback is added to the enemy's move calculations at every frame, lerping to zero.

Fun game! Definitely love the idea of running through levels which is different from what I've played and the basic/charging attack mechanics. I can also see the potential for more skills and other things.

Some issues (or intended gameplay) that I felt in the few runs I did:

I could make my health negative by essentially dying to the people chasing you after I succeed in running through the door and walking back to die in the running level. Could heal it back up but still.

In a run where I was far, I had a skill level up but my skill points were negative at one point so I had it going on forever after a running level. Not really sure what happened, but I assume is that the level up screen occurs anyways whether you actually level or not after succeeding the running level, so I had 0 skill points and after picking a skill it goes to -1 and there is no check for negative numbers just 0. If that's not it then idk.

Not sure but the basic/charging attack buffs were more responsive or obvious to me than the bomb buffs. I feel like I definitely upgraded by bomb a lot but only got 8 more dmg from it (120 -> 128) which doesn't seem right to me. Thinking that 10% more dmg would be at least 12 dmg every upgrade, unless I read wrong.

Thanks for playing! I can definitely look into the bomb numbers and I've seen the negative skill number bug pop up before. For the negative health, does it happen at the chase levels? I could try to tighten up the clear conditions for that.

Yes right after I complete chase levels I can die to the chasers and have negative health.
